DON’T FORGET TO SHARE!!!

Looking for a quick, easy, and delicious breakfast or snack idea for the whole family? Try this Stuffed PB&J French Toast! It combines two classic favorites—peanut butter and jelly—with the comfort of French toast, making it a recipe moms (and kids) will love. It’s warm, gooey, and satisfying, perfect for busy mornings or a fun weekend treat.

Why Moms Will Love This Recipe

As a mom, you’re always looking for meals that are fast but still nutritious and filling. This PB&J French toast takes just 20 minutes to make and provides a balanced combination of protein, carbs, and fats to keep your family energized throughout the day. It’s a kid-friendly meal that even picky eaters will enjoy.

Plus, this recipe is versatile! Whether you’re feeding a toddler who needs smaller portions or a teenager who needs something more filling, it’s easy to adjust based on your family’s needs.

Health Benefits

  • Peanut Butter: Peanut butter is a great source of protein and healthy fats, which help keep you and your kids full for longer. It’s also rich in vitamins and minerals like magnesium, vitamin E, and antioxidants.
  • Eggs: Eggs are packed with protein, supporting muscle growth and keeping you satisfied. They also contain important nutrients like B vitamins, which help with energy production.
  • Whole-Grain Bread Substitute: If you want to make this recipe a bit healthier, you can swap out the white bread for whole grain. Whole-grain bread contains more fiber, which helps with digestion and keeps blood sugar levels steady.
  • Reduced Sugar Options: To cut back on sugar, you can use natural peanut butter without added sugar and choose a low-sugar or fruit-sweetened jelly. This way, you get all the flavor with less of the sugar spike.

Ingredient Substitutions

  • Nut Butter Alternatives: If your family has peanut allergies, don’t worry! You can easily substitute the peanut butter for almond butter, cashew butter, or even sunflower seed butter if you’re nut-free.
  • Jelly Choices: Concord grape jelly is a classic, but you can switch things up by using strawberry, raspberry, or any other favorite jelly or jam. For a more natural option, try using mashed fresh fruit like bananas or berries.
  • Dairy-Free Option: If anyone in your family is dairy-free, you can substitute the Reddi-wip with a plant-based whipped cream alternative, and use a dairy-free spread in place of Parkay.

Make It a Fun Family Activity

This recipe is simple enough that kids can help make it! Let them spread the peanut butter and jelly on the bread or whisk the egg mixture. It’s a great way to get them involved in the kitchen, teaching them valuable cooking skills while making a meal they’ll be excited to eat.

How to Serve

While this Stuffed PB&J French Toast is perfect on its own, you can add a few extras to make it even better:

  • Fresh Fruit Topping: Top with banana slices or fresh berries for added sweetness and a boost of vitamins.
  • Yogurt on the Side: Serve with a side of Greek yogurt for an extra dose of protein and probiotics.
